3. W HAT IS ALL THE FUSS ABOUT ? Responsibility To Care (R2C) is a new holistic term we're using to bring together a lot of different ideas people have about sustainability. We're talking about environmental service that is student-led. R2C is our voice for the environment within the CUNY system. It acts as a catalyst, advocate, educator and facilitator to promote the wise use and sustainable development of the local environment. You can call it "green team" or task force, "activists" or “stewards." But we're talking about more than titular labels. That's why we think about R2C in the context of our entire university system, from campus to bag as actions that truly benefit people, communities and the earth.

4. MISSION To provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling communities and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.
