2 In India road surveillance project, Indian customer requests the surveillance camera can be worked properly under 2000k color temperature environment on the road. Generally, the surveillance camera’s working color temperature range is from 2600k to 5000k. Image will be normal in this range. If the color temperature is out of this range, there will be some abnormal phenomenon happening, such as yellowish or bluish image (refer to pic 1). Customer expects camera can work properly at 2000K color temperature. But most of main camera manufacturers cannot provide this special need to them. However, Infinova has customized a camera to meet their demand and solved yellowish or bluish issue. Pic1 Camera installation environment condition Environment Lighting: Yellow sodium lamp Environment color temperature: 2000K Requirements: Indian customer requests to install surveillance camera near sodium lamp on the road. However, the color temperature near sodium lamp is around 2000k, which is obviously lower than normal 2600k. In this case, customer hopes the surveillance camera can work normally in this color temperature. Solution Infinova customized a special embedded camera’s firmware to make sure the camera can work properly under 2000k color temperature without yellowish or bluish phenomenon.

Today Standard Definition, 1.3 MP To be released through MP, 3 MP, 5MP Open Platform, based on Texas Instruments Da Vinci technology DM355, DM365 chip ONVIF Easy integration with leading brands One SDK for entire product family Easier for developers to integrate products IP Product Family Infinova’s megapixel and IP cameras feature a larger format sensor (1/2.5”) that gives excellent low-light performance at megapixel resolution. With a frame rate of 25 FPS at megapixel and full HD resolution they can handle demanding surveillance jobs that require high frame rates such dealer tables in casinos and teller stations in banks. All cameras and video servers are equipped with SD storage card on the device. Where 24/7 recording is essential, the SD cards provide failover recording should there be a network error. The SD card also enables remote recording, for example in transport applications such as busses, trains and subways. To make the cameras easy to work with and install all cameras have both IP and analog output. This makes the cameras very easy to install and fast to focus and adjust the field of view by simply attaching a test monitor. For very sensitive applications, using the analog and IP outputs together, cameras can record simultaneously to both a network video recorder (NVR) and a digital video recorder (DVR) to provide an additional level of local backup. Failover during network error Transport applications Subways Busses The benefits include: 1:If network or computer is error, the SD card can auto save image. And once network or computer recovers, this images can auto translate to computer.(main feature) 2:In some application situations, the SD card can satisfy customer’s saving need, for example bus and subway. We are support a 32G bytes SD card. 3:Some customers request that the SD card carries on saving image when alarm happen. 4:The customer in the Chinese market requirements provided more capacity of storage, for example hard drive. 5: The customer can make to order other functions according they needing.

IP based video surveillance system 40 Infinova IP PTZ dome cameras V2216 IP Video Management software High resolution, high frame rate recording of all cameras 24/7 Several acres of automobiles, showrooms and service facilities The world s largest BMW dealer in the Los Angeles, California, USA, makes use of an extensive, state-of-the-art IP based video surveillance system that includes 40 Infinova IP PTZ dome cameras and IP Video Management software for live viewing and network video recording. Infinova worked closely with the BMW dealers IT (Information Technology) Manager to insure that the network and data storage equipment could handle the surveillance system requirements. The system is highly automated and includes high resolution, high frame rate recording of all cameras at all times. Several acres of automobiles and numerous buildings that house showrooms and service facilities are monitored by the system. Because it is an IP-based system, it can be easily accessed from anywhere.

The high S/N ratio gives enhanced color, better image clarity and detail giving you excellent evidence that captures the smallest details even in low light conditions. Using an Optical or Digital day/night switch function the cameras can automatically switch from color mode to black and white (B/W) mode in very low light environments. This gives you a highly effective security solution for 24/7 surveillance. The wide dynamic range (WDR) cameras feature PIXIM DPS (Digital Pixel System) that has an even wider 120 dB dynamic range that gives you excellent sensitivity to changes in lighting. This gives WDR cameras a higher S/N Ratio, improved color rendering and better image quality providing excellent surveillance video under extremely difficult illumination conditions. For extreme lighting conditions some models feature digital slow shutter (DSS) that allows a long exposure time of 1/2 second, providing a higher sensitivity in minimum illumination conditions down to 0.03 lux. Infinova analog dome cameras feature continuous 360° rotation, with super sensitivity, auto focus, auto iris, and backlight compensation. Variable Pan speed capabilities range from a smooth, fast pan motion of 240° (200° for 36X) per second to a low speed of 0.5° per second. The “auto flip” feature allows the camera to rotate 180° and reposition itself for uninterrupted viewing of any subject that passes directly beneath the PTZ dome. Domes are available as 18X12, 26X12 and 36X12 optical/ digital zoom. Separate definable privacy zones can be set by administrators to prevent operators from viewing restricted areas. Direction indicators displayed on the monitor indicate the direction in which the dome camera is moving and pointing. Infinova Domes feature built-in memory to store camera and dome settings, including labels, presets, patterns, and zones. These settings are automatically downloaded if a new dome drive is installed.

33 Conclusions — Three Alternatives
Do nothing Fraught with dangers Expensive Complicated future migration Do everything Has its own hazards Significant investment Discarding what is usefully in place Do something — Coexistence Coexistence of existing analog with introduction, where it makes security and business sense, of IP video surveillance Cost-managed approach Migrate at your own pace After Homework, Initial Conclusions So Terry and Helena have done their initial homework. Boiling everything down, they see three jumps they can take – do nothing, do something or do everything. And there are consequences in all three. Doing nothing to prepare for that inevitable IP future is froth with dangers. Maintaining legacy systems gets more expensive and time-consuming as the tech clock ticks. New solution components evolve in different ways and speeds in the security and IT marketplace, which can complicate a cohesive transition plan. There are the disappointments of poor images and difficult image retrieval when using video for investigations or for sharing with internal business units or external law enforcement – the so-called “CSI” TV expectation. And there is the chance the IT will see the need to, and dismiss the dangers of assuming greater control of networked video. Trying to do it all at once has its own hazards. There are the obstacles in justifying a very significant investment while discarding what is usefully in place. Overreaching IP-based security could overwhelm the enterprise’s network either perceived or in real-time. For our CSO, Terry, the best bet – and one his team chose – was to do something, with emphasis on coexistence of existing analog with introduction, where it makes security and business sense, of IP video surveillance. Whatever the plan, however, it does not have to be a go-it-alone proposition for the security department. There are security systems integrators, consultants and architecture and engineering firms that boast a track-record of help and advice. Some manufacturers can help, too. With this first in a series of generic white papers from Infinova, the firm shows is commitment to helping end-users during a period of transition. It provides IP and analog surveillance cameras and components, camera accessories, monitors, power supplies and fiber optic communications devices as well as customized solutions. Uniquely, Infinova also works closely with integrators. For example, all cameras feature both IP and analog outputs. And it partners with brand-leader manufacturers to create turnkey solutions and tests and verifies the functionality of their partners' solutions when integrated with Infinova products.
