4. LeTourneau University LeTourneau University (LETU) is an interdenominational, evangelical Christian university of about 3000 students. Academic majors include the aeronautical sciences, business, education, engineering, engineering technology, the liberal arts and natural sciences. LETU’s 162-acre main campus is located in Longview, Texas, serving around 1500 students. LETU serves around 1500 students through online programs and at Texas education centers in Austin, Bedford, Dallas, Houston and Tyler. LeTourneau University is consistently recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of "America's Best Colleges" and has also been honored for distinguished community service by being named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts. I will be one of two chemistry faculty next year, although we hope to add another one soon.
