7 User Defined Groups (a)
Assessment 2015 User Defined Groups (a) If all pupils for EYFS are in Reception: Year R If all pupils for KS1 are in Year 2: Year 2 If all pupils for KS2 are in Year 6: Year 6 If all for Phonics Year 1 are in Year 1: Year 1 If all for Phonics Year 2 are in Year 2: Year 2 HOWEVER…..

8 User Defined Groups (b)
Assessment 2015 User Defined Groups (b) a) If pupils are taught out of Year Group b) If pupils are not being assessed this year c) If pupils changed school during Summer Term

9 User Defined Groups (c)
Assessment 2015 User Defined Groups (c) Pupils changing school (unofficial): EYFS – If a child transfers schools then the schools involved should agree which school will submit the data. This will usually be the school where the child is registered at the point when data is submitted. (Based on 2014 procedure) Phonics (Y1 & Y2) The test is administered any time in the week commencing 15th June. If a child transfers schools in that week then (by implication) the schools involved should check if the test has already been administered. The school doing the check should submit the data.

10 User Defined Groups (c)
Assessment 2015 User Defined Groups (c) Pupils changing school (unofficial): KS1 If a child starts at a new school before the summer half-term holiday, the new school must report the child's results to the LA. If a child starts at a new school after the summer half-term holiday, the previous school must report the child's results to the LA. This includes children who transfer to a new school during the holiday. If a child moves school within year 2, the new school must report the end of key stage results to the child's parents. Key Date is Friday 22nd May. If pupil leaves you on or before that date the new school submits the assessment.

11 User Defined Groups (d)
Assessment 2015 User Defined Groups (d) Pupils changing school (unofficial): KS2 – The school where the child was enrolled during test week must submit teacher assessment data to STA. If a child moves before test week, the receiving school must submit teacher assessment data. If a child moves during test week, the school where they sat each test should submit the data. (KS2 ARA 5.4) Teacher Assessments for pupils who are on roll during test week, ie: w/c Monday, 11th May. KS2 ARA Section 10.4: The school where the child was enrolled during test week must submit teacher assessment data to STA. If a child moves before test week then the receiving school must submit teacher assessment data. If a child moves during test week then the school where they sat each test should submit the data. For example, if the child sat English reading at one school and mathematics at another, then each school needs to submit data for the relevant subject.

Your school has pupils for whom EYFS assessments need to be entered for: all Reception and a few Year but only if discussed with the LA EYFS moderation manager (ARA)

25 EYSF Reporting to Parents (1)
EYFS Assessment 2015 EYSF Reporting to Parents (1) For children at the end of reception year, providers should report: whether children are meeting expected levels of development, or if they are exceeding expected levels, or not yet reaching expected levels (‘emerging’) for each ELG; brief particulars of attainment in all areas of learning; comments on general progress including the characteristics of effective learning; and arrangements for discussing the report. Page 10

26 EYSF Reporting to Parents (2)
EYFS Assessment 2015 EYSF Reporting to Parents (2) At the end of reception year, parents should receive a written summary reporting attainment against the ELGs. Practitioners may use the information provided by EYFS profile assessment as a basis for their reports to parents. Reports should be specific to the child, concise, informative and help to identify appropriate next steps. Page 10

27 EYSF Reporting to Parents (3)
