Our unique design does not currently exist anywhere.

What types of things can you expect and how will we know we’re successful? Parents are thrilled with our school and their choice All children and adults are known well All students demonstrate multiple measures of success and achieve appropriate threshold of growth on fundamental skills All students lead progress conferences with families twice a year All students make a presentation of learning at least once a quarter All families participate in at least one school event per quarter Students have “choice” time to engage in self-directed learning

The majority of student work is done through Expeditions All families receive quarterly “success” reports Children regularly spend time with other age groups All students have a minimum of four adventure experiences All teachers and students have portfolios to document growth Student work is artfully displayed that is of high quality and demonstrates individual and collective learning The school and classrooms are clearly student-centered All teachers receive high quality PD, have professional autonomy and are encouraged to create and innovate. Students spend, on average, 20% of the day outdoors in a learning experience
