Tentative plan ● Friday Sector 34 circuits operational ● Beam loop closed Thursday evening ● LBDS –BIS machine protection tests ● Machine Cycle all sectors together ● Beam to downstream TED ● Check synchronization LHC-Injectors chain ● First beam not before Sunday morning 13

Plan ● For B1 & B2: ● Bring the beam to the TDI, ● Open TDI and go to next point blocked by collimator, ● Steer the trajectory, ● Open collimator, ● Repeat point by point until the beam makes one turn. ● When one turn is established try to increase the number of turns (better trajectory, move tunes etc...) until >= 40 turns. ● Try to capture the beam with the RF. 14

Plan ● When both beams circulate, check out the key instrumentation, starting with orbit and tune. ● Improve the orbit correction, steer back the transfer lines ● Measure chromaticity and dispersion. ● Try out the other instruments ● Over-night: ● Continue the commissioning and testing. ● Polarity checks of orbit correctors and tune trim circuits. 15

Tentative Plan ● Monday ● RF work: delays, loops etc ● Continue BI commissioning, including timing. ● Clean-up orbit. ● First quick test of the orbit, tune and radial feedbacks. ● Evening/night ● Splashes ● Polarities continued 16
