2. The komodo dragon eats meat. In order to catch their food they wait along game trails to ambush pigs, deer, and buffalo. When they bite the animal, the bacteria causes blood clot.

3. The komodo dragon is the most aggressive type of lizard. The komodo can climb trees which is very unusual for a lizard so large. The males fight for territory and females. When in the hottest part of the day the komodo dragon sits in shade either beneath a tree or in burrows.

4. The ancestor of the komodo dragon was named Megalania. The Megalania was the largest lizards in the world. The Megalania was the largest non- crocodilian egg laying lizard. The Megalania lived in the Mesozoic era.
