2 Riddle 1 A man walks into a bar and orders water. The bartender pulls out a shotgun and fires 5 shots that barely misses the man. The man says, “thank you”, leaves a tip, and walks out. Why?

3 Riddle 1 Answer The bartender scared the man’s hiccups away

4 Riddle 2 A man is trapped in a room that was built around him. There are no doors, windows, or holes in the walls and floors. The only things in the room are a table and a mirror. How did the man get out?

5 Riddle 2 Answer He looked in the mirror to see what he saw.
Used the saw to cut the table in half. Two halves make a (w)hole. He climbed out the hole.

A man lived all alone, didn’t leave his house, and no one visited him. He had someone deliver his supplies every two weeks. One night he got dressed for bed turned out the lights and went to sleep. Jake was stealing, but how did Jake he do it? He was stealing the wheelbarrows

16 Dilemma #13 A man dressed all in black is walking across the street. The moon is not shining. No street or house light is on. A car approaches; none of its lights are on. The car stops immediately to avoid hitting the man. How is this possible? It was daytime

Dilemma #15 Two men are out hiking. They cross a ridge of a mountain and find a cabin on the ridge. Nobody had ever been on this mountain’s ridge before. So how did it get there? It is an airplane cabin of a crashed airplane

Sabrina, Romeo, and Juliet live together in an apartment. One night Sabrina finds Juliet dead on the floor in a pool of water with broken glass around. Although upset, she never contacts the police. Why? Juliet is a fish

Jeri, Kevin, Jon, and Meg walked home in the rain. All of them got their shoes wet, but only half of them got their hair wet. None of them had a hair covering (hat, scarf, etc.) and nobody had an umbrella. How is this possible? Half of them were bald

Dilemma #19 A goat is tied to an 8 foot length of rope. A bucket of food is 15 feet in front of the goat. Without assistance (or breaking the rope) the goat is able to eat from the bucket. How is this possible? The other end of the rope wasn’t tied to anything

Dilemma #20 Police are on the trail of robbers. As they walk across a muddy field they see a hat, scarf, and two large buttons on the ground. They just smile and move on. Why did the police not stop? They came across a melted snowman

Dilemma #21 His stealing made his parent’s proud. They even took him out for a special dinner. Why? He stole a base in a game of baseball

28 She is too short to reach the 26 button on the elevator
Dilemma #22 Ann lives on the 26th floor of a high-rise apartment. She takes the elevator down each morning to go to school; in the afternoon, if she is alone, she rides the elevator to the 20th floor and walks up to her apartment. Why doesn’t she just ride the elevator all the way to the 26th floor? She is too short to reach the 26 button on the elevator

29 Dilemma #23 Jack shaves at least three times a day. He still wins the contest for having the longest beard. How is this possible? He’s a barber

30 The man stood on a block of ice
Dilemma #24 Mr. Luke kicked open the door and surveyed a very puzzling scene. A man hung from the end of a rope in a room measuring 5 meters by 5 meters. There was water on the floor. In one corner of the room was a bed. In another corner a chair and a table stood beside an open window. The only door into the room had been locked from the inside. The distance between the floor and the dead man’s feet was 2 meters. It seemed a simple suicide except for he was too far off the ground and no object was close enough for him to have stood on. Mr. Luke figured it out...can you? The man stood on a block of ice

31 Dilemma #25 There is a tiger, a chicken, and chicken feed. You have a boat that will only hold you and one other. You must get all to the other side of the river. How would you do it? If you don’t do it right the tiger will eat the chicken and the chicken will eat the feed. So, you take the chicken over first. Go back and get the tiger. Take the chicken back with you and leave while you take the feed. Finally, go back and get the chicken.

32 Dilemma #26 You are in a 1 ton truck and need to cross a 2 mile long bridge that can hold a maximum of 1 ton. Nobody else is on the bridge. Halfway across a bird lands on your truck. Why wouldn’t the bridge collapse under the weight? The fuel you would use to drive the 1 mile would make up for the added weight of the bird.

40 SAME AS TIGER ONE A Farmer, A Chicken, & A Fox: Problem Solving
Problem: A farmer must get a bag of grain, a chicken, and a fox to the other side of a river. The boat is only big enough to hold the farmer and one of the other items. How can the farmer get everything safely across the river?
