Blood Cell BY: BRANDON IVES

A Blood Cell’s Job  As it travels in the blood, through the arteries, veins, and capillaries, oxygen is shifted. The blood cell’s job is to get oxygen throughout the body.

Birth Of the Blood Cell  Where it all Begins Red blood cells are formed in red bone marrow, and then take on a path to other organs to transport oxygen throughout the body.

Finding a way out  After finding its way out of the Bone Marrow, the red blood cell will take up most of the space where it is traveling thru along with plasma.

Journey to the heart  The red blood cell will find its way through the veins, capillaries, and in time, the arteries. The fresh blood must travel to the heart and get oxygen pumped in it, so it can transport it to the rest of the body.

At the heart  Once the blood cell reached the heart, it gets oxygenated and is sent through the pulmonary circulation tubes to reach the lungs.

Through the lungs Than to other Parts of the Body  In the lungs and in the alveoli, the red blood cells deposits the oxygen it carried and is now de-oxygenated. Now it makes its way back to the heart again. Once the blood is oxygenated again, it is sent to other parts of the body, including the brain and it is now called "systematic circulation".

One More Thing  This whole process constantly repeats itself until you die
