NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT RAILROAD AGREEMENTS

RR Agreement Requirements for Resurfacing Projects All projects let to contract, where work is being performed within the railroad’s ROW, will require a properly executed railroad agreement. For these projects, the following documents are required so the Bureau of County Transportation can request an executed RR agreement from ALDOT Multimodal:

Required RR Submittal Documents 1. Request from county for assistance in obtaining a signed RR agreement (please include milepost) 2. Two 11 X 17 prints of title sheet showing the location of the project and the location of the railroad crossing. 3. Two 11 X 17 prints of the typical section with a pavement tie-in sketch showing the paving limits at the railroad. 4. Two RR Crossing Details (plan view of the crossing) 5. RR Involvement Certification Letter (signed by County Engineer and Region Engineer or his rep.)
