2 Suspense that quality of a literary work that makes the reader or audience uncertain or tense about the outcome of events

3 Mood The feeling the author creates for the reader based upon the setting of the text

4 Imagery language that appeals to any sense (sight, hearing, taste, touch, or smell) or any combination of the senses

5 Tragic Flaw refers to a personality trait of a main character that leads to his or her downfall; a character with a tragic flaw is in need of some kind of attitude adjustment.

6 Character Motivation a reason that explains or partially explains why a character thinks, feels, acts, or behaves in a certain way (Motivation results from a combination of the characters personality and the situation to be dealt with.)
