2. NEPAL EARTHQUAKE

3. Rescue efforts are continuing in Nepal after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake killed hundreds of people. Hospitals are inundated with the injured, while many survivors who have lost homes will be now sleeping outdoors. Mountainous terrain and disrupted communication links will make reaching those in need difficult.

4. This aerial photograph shows how tightly packed Nepali buildings can be and the potential for destruction when earthquakes occur. Saturday’s quake is Nepal’s worst in 80 years.

5. PRAYER POINTS  Please pray for speedy and effective rescue efforts to free those trapped in collapsed buildings.  Pray that survivors in remote areas can be reached quickly.  Pray God’s comfort and healing for the injured.  Pray for Tearfund staff and partners as they work to help those most in need.
