2 Purpose Provide guidance to register for the Network Alerting System / Telephone Alerting System (NAS/TAS).

Tool to Communicate Emergency Notifications Network Alerting System (NAS) Computer screen pop-up (see next slide) Telephone Alerting System (TAS) Post to Garrison FaceBook & Twitter pages For registered personnel: Phone calls Email messages Text messages APP (App) – downloadable app for messages Names associated with NAS / TAS Emergency Management Modernization Program AtHoc – commercial name of product USAG Wiesbaden Alerts

4 Example of a NAS Alert 1) This window will remain until the acknowledge button is clicked. 2) Acknowledging indicates you have received the information.

8 Devices 1. Do not use the “-” in your phone number. 2. Confirm number and click “Accept as is!”

9 1.LAST KNOWN LOCATION – works with app only 2.HOME ADDRESS - optional 3.WORK ADDRESS - optional Locations Tab 1.LAST KNOWN LOCATION: The “AtHoc Notifier” app provides the location of the device when it receives a message so if trapped, missing etc. emergency personnel have a place to start looking for the device holder. 2.The “AtHoc Notifier” app is free to download for smart phones.

10 Working with the Location Tab 1.HOME ADDRESS & WORK ADDRESS: These options are used with a map to circle an area and notify all personnel registered within that circled area. 2.To identify your work or home locations click “Edit.”

11 1.You can find your address using the address field. Input street, city, and country. 2.There will be three options. “Hybrid” provides the easiest way to navigate the map. Click it to activate. 3.Controls: Arrows moves the map. Use provided “+” to zoom in and “-” to zoom out. Alternately, clicking and holding on the map (or “blue man”) and moving your mouse will move what you have clicked on. The mouse roller ball will zoom in or out. 4.Use controls to fine tune address entered in address field or use the map to position your “Blue Man” on your work and / or home locations. 5.When satisfied with the location of the “blue man” choose “Done” and then “SAVE” at the top of the page. #1 #3 #2 #4 #5
