How to become a tutor? Your profile: you like to discuss physics with pupils and teachers you like to perform experiments you have a physics background or you are interested in physics and willing to learn more you are able to help with S'Cool LAB workshops on Wednesdays 14-17:30 at least once every 2-3 months you are willing to participate in several training sessions (normally on Thursdays 16:30-18:30) 13 YOU ?!
14
How to become a tutor? Workshops can only be led by official S'Cool LAB tutors. To become an official S'Cool LAB tutors the following steps are mandatory: a) To have taken the following CERN safety courses: Electrical Hazards COURELE RP supervised area COURRP Sensibilisation Risque Chimique COURSRCHIM Highly recommended: fire extinguisher course Highly recommended: first aid course See Safety Information Registration on http://sir.cern.chhttp://sir.cern.ch See CERN training catalogue on https://cta.cern.chhttps://cta.cern.ch 14
15
How to become a tutor? b) To have a personal dosimeter and to wear it during the workshops if ionizing radiation is present. c) To have followed the on-site training for general safety in S’Cool LAB. d) To have followed the on-site training for the specific experimental setting including specific hazards e.g. Cloud Chamber. e) To have been granted access to S'Cool LAB equipment in EDH Request access to 0143K1-001 (S'Cool LAB experiments) f) To have observed ("shadowed") one workshop led by an experienced S'Cool LAB tutor. g) Coming soon: special safety course (1/2 day) for Lasers, Radioactive Sources, Cryo, High Voltages, Chemicals 15
