The next example is a 4 th degree polynomial Note that the degree tells us the maximum number of zeros that the function can have If you are given only one of the zeros for a fourth degree polynomial, then you would have to solve a cubic equation, and we have no easy way to solve this without already knowing a solution The examples shown and the problems you will work for practice will give two zeros rather than just one
