2 Topics of Discussion The goals of this project
Roles and names of team members Primary benefits of the extended network project Graphical depictions of each solution The goals of the extended network project Advantages and disadvantages of the solution at each location Overall recommendation and justification for the solutions Considerations to integrate those solutions into the current user environment

3 The goals of this project
To identify the equipment that is necessary to extend LTC's Wide Area Network (WAN) to two major cities: Chicago, Illinois and Boston, Massachus. To put together the network infrastructure for each of these offices. To make sure high availability and the best performance possible. To provide a solution for each location must include a graphical design showing topology, network devices, media, and so on. Provide your recommendations for installing and for maintaining this network hardware. Explain considerations concerning the integration of network products from different vendors. Your team has been contracted by Laplata Trucking Company (LTC), which provides trucking services throughout the Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia area. It is planning on expanding its business offices to two major cities: Chicago, Illinois and Boston, Massachusetts. Each of the offices in these two cities are in two-story buildings. There will be approximately 300 individuals housed in the Boston office and 125 individuals in the Chicago office.

4 Roles and names of team members
XYZ XYY XZZ To identify the extension equipment and to connect network infrastructure for each of these offices. To make sure high availability and the best performance possible and to provide a complete solution at both the cities. To provide installation and maintenance recommendation of network hardware and consideration of network products from different vendors.

5 Primary benefits of the extended network project
High availability. The best performance possible. Make sure proper, safe and sound execution. Excellent services. Customer Satisfaction. Good Customer Relationship. More Orders. Business Enhancement. Revenue generation.

6 Advantages and disadvantages of the solution at each location
Wireless medium allow radio waves to penetrate walls (Addison Wensley, 2000). Easy installation. Allows internet access anywhere in the building. Disadvantages High Cost of wireless technology. Link error issue (Liu, 1999) No special wire planning required for communicating, as in wired networks. If a single area is large to be enclosed by a particular access point, then multiple access points or addition points can be used. -- Note that an "addition point" is not defined in the wireless standard, but have been established by some producers. When using numerous access points, each access point wireless zone should overlap its neighbors. This offers a seamless area for consumers to move around in using a feature called "roaming. " Some companies produce extension points, which act as wireless relays, extending the range of a single access point. Multiple extension points can be looped together to deliver wireless access to far away positions from the central access point.  Wireless hosts use radio transmission or infrared wave transmission for communication. This method of communication is defenseless to interference from the surroundings. Bit error rate on wireless links is found to be about 10 or worse. This high error rate poses difficulties for the wired networks with a wireless link

7 Overall recommendation and justification for the solutions
Wireless networking infrastructure don’t require a medium maintenance such as, in wired networking. Guest and clients can easily access without any wire or much time consumption. Software available to maintain security of data.

8 Graphical depictions of each solution
Current Wireless Networking Solution Traditional Wired Networking Solution A wireless computer can "roam" from one access point to another, with the hardware and software maintaining a steady network connection by monitoring the signal strength from in-range access points and locking on to the one with the finest quality.  The disadvantages of various topologies in wired based infrastructures are avoided in wireless solutions.

9 Considerations to integrate those solutions into the current user environment
Wireless networking solution is recommended in the current environment of smart phones, tablet PCs, etc. Wireless solution allows printing, fax, etc. wirelessly as well. A faster way to communicate.
