Accuracy and precision in calculations. Understand significant figures. A good knowledge of what was in chapters 1-4 in the text (slides have been posted on BB). Study at least 2 hours out of class for every hour in. Carefully select the problems you do in Mastering Chemistry. 12

We shall take first-day roll via the placement exam ◦ Put your NAME, U# and Section (004) on your scantron Be sure you have done this right! ~30 min for the exam. Please hand in both the exam and the scantron at end of class. If you have difficulty with the placement exam, consider changing General Chemistry (CHM 2045) for Introductory Chemistry (CHM 2023) 13
