Select the case and determine data gathering and analysis techniques Cases selected and provided via PLO and Care Proceedings. Data gathering techniques include interviews with parents, children, family members and other professionals. Questionnaires are administered and observations are undertaken. Historical documents read. Analysis includes consideration of social work theory and research, ethical principles, policy and professional experience. 3. Prepare to collect the data Schedule necessary venues, book time in our own calendars, block book interviews with parent, child, other professionals or family members. Undertake risk assessments, arrange support services, prepare working files to include hand-outs and questionnaires. 4. Collect data in the field Undertake interviews with parent, child, other family members and/or other professionals. Observe parent with child and administer questionnaires. 5. Evaluate and analyse the data We evaluate and analyse data throughout assessment similar to Grounded Theory. 6. Prepare the reportPrepare and submit final report.
