3 What is “Calibration”? Calibration is the process by which managers compare and potentially adjust the Performance Ratings of their respective staff members to ensure sufficient differentiation in employee performance levels across the enterprise Calibration is a fundamental component for “Focal” processes Calibration requires managers to be knowledgeable about their employee contributions and use them as the basis for their proposed performance ratings, while remaining open-minded to the views and inputs of others

Templates created by System Administrator to make creating Calibration sessions easy & avoid repetitive work Calibration Template configures:- Basic Info – name, review period Data Source: PM Ratings Overall Goal, Competency, Performance, Potential Allow multiple PM templates Compensation Compa Ratio or Range Penetration View Bin View – one dimension of data Bin View – combination of 2 types of rating/ratio data to calibrate
