Communitisation Communitisation is a means to promote socio economic development in rural areas by active involvement of the community members This will ensure the quality, transparency and sustainability in the long run Change in approach, expansion of the programme, adoption of new technology and tapping of funds from Govt. will be easier Effective linkages with banks and convergence with line dept Help NGO to implement programme without any pressure from politicians, Govt. Authorities and also bring good recognition

1. To build the sense of ownership by project participants for sustenance of the programme 2. Formation and strengthening of second tier community institutions for dairy husbandry based livelihoods. 3. Forward & Backward linkages with existing institutions for marketing and input supply. Objectives

Approaches Formation of village level community based organisation of dairy farmers. Identification and capacity building of community resource person to be trained to support dairy husbandry activities. Formation of a cluster level/District level Association of dairy farmers. Better Coordination between Milk Union and Breeders Association Leveraging funds from higher AI charges and donations from profitable societies High level of Transparency and Accountability in DBA business

Organising animal health camps with the support of AHD/ private dairy. Expected Results Sustainability of the programme beyond the project period Empowerment of dairy farmers Coverage of breeding services to all the dairy farmers in the area. Reduction of Anoestrous cases Rise in milk production and increase of cross breeds and Upgraded murrah. Increase in area of fodder cultivation and availability of fodder through out the year Women empowerment Scope for tapping schemes of line dept under convergence. Milk routes get established. Improvement in nutrition levels of dairy farmer and family members. Replicability of this concept to other uncovered area.
