CS@25 - October 22, 2004 Undergraduate program reform New undergraduate program starting this fall semester Leverage Columbia strengths in interdisciplinary studies, core curriculum and professional schools The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation for CS through a broad core of basic CS courses. On top of this foundation, students can pursue more advanced training in an important area of modern CS by selecting one of five advanced tracks. The new program has been designed so it is easy for students with no programming experience to pursue a major in CS. An advanced version of each track is available for students who want to study a track in greater depth. Avoid the Java vs. C discussion multilingual students
