I can evaluate an author's use of problem-solution pattern of organization in an informational text.
Warm Up:
Make sure your name is on your spatial order paragraphs homework, that your paragraphs are labeled (NEAR to FAR, etc.) and turn it in on the blue high stool.
Look up the definition for PROBLEM-SOLUTION in the blue section of your Literature book and copy it into your notes.

look for words such as problem and reason
to find the solution, ask: What suggestion does the writer offer to the problem?
look for words such as propose, conclude and answer that may signal a solution
