3 Specific HSE actions and strategies Carillion fully embrace the challenging Health and Safety Targets established for the Rampion Project, notably: Zero Harm SIF (Serious Incident Frequency)0.4 TRIF (Total Recorded Incident Frequency)2.5 FOF (Falling Object Frequency)0.5 Carillion will promote the current drivers used in our internal Behaving Safely campaign, striving towards our common goal of Target Zero. We are conscious that the engagement of everyone on the Team is key to this successful delivery, encouraging the right behaviours, empowering people to speak up and challenge others, and to look after one another. These common objectives are formally encouraged through our Safety Systems: Predict and Prevent Don’t Walk By (DWB) Leadership Plan including Engagement and Safety Action Groups 3

4 Key strategy/experiences Good communication is vital o Engender culture of “no surprises” o Proactive engagement with key stakeholders including landowners and local community o Interfacing contractors Alternative delivery techniques to minimise the Project build phase, reducing overall cost, minimising programme risk and mitigating disruption to the community: o Trenching machines installing duct o MDPE pipe as opposed to traditional uPVC o Bespoke jointing tents 4

6 Scope of Work Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of onshore cable Cable system will be twin circuit 150kV cable installed in ducts. Key Project Metrics Cable corridor length 27km 162km of cable and duct to be installed 23 double circuit joint-bays HDDs installed as separate package Road crossings 6
