Write a letter of protest to the organisers. In your letter persuade the organisers that the event should be stopped. In your letter you should comment on: How the event affects tourists What the local people feel about the event The treatment of the animals Begin your letter: ‘Dear Organisers, …’ Up to 15 marks are available for the content of your answer and 5 marks for the quality of your writing. [Total 20] 2. Re-read the descriptions of: The town of Cascais in paragraph 1, beginning ‘Cascais along the coast…’; The atmosphere and the events as the ‘Running if the Bulls’ is about to begin in paragraph 3, beginning ‘The bull run takes place…’. Select four powerful words or phrases from each paragraph. It should include imagery and explain how each word or phrase is used effectively in the context.
