What is LASIK? LASIK is a surgical procedure intended to reduce a person's dependency on glasses or contact lenses. LASIK stands for Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis.

Vision Errors Usually the shape of the cornea and the eye are not perfect and the image on the retina is out-of-focus or distorted. There are three primary types of refractive errors myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism

Risks Keratectasia - surgeon cuts the flap too deeply or removes too much tissue. Dry eye - commonly reported Infection - relatively low risk Night Vision Problems - These are more common when surgeons use traditional LASIK procedures.
