The climate in Scotland is temperate maritime with relatively unstable weather. Scottish proverb reads: If you do not like the weather, wait a minute (If you do not like the weather, wait a minute). Scotland is subject to a beneficent influence of the Gulf Stream, which makes the climate much warmer than areas at comparable degrees of latitude, such as Oslo, Norway.
