3
Philae Science team meeting Venezia, March 30, 31, April 1, 2009 Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti 1. Update all teams on overall status 2. Discuss science matters 3. Identify P/L issues of importance 4. Get prepared for upcoming events PC10 → final instrument uplaods / tests PC12 → CDMS finalized: run of a complete SDL sequence Hibernation → no more later major updates 5. Landing site selection process: actions within Philae / Rosetta Goal of the meeting

Philae Science team meeting Venezia, March 30, 31, April 1, 2009 Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti 1. Update all teams on overall status - Philae (system / PL levels) - Rosetta (Orbiter P/L) - Rosetta (system: regulator) → likely present assumption: no further use → the later the maneuver, the smaller the ΔV required → RV scenario to be frozen pre- hibernation (number of phases will only change robustness) → later RV ⇒ full Philae re-shuffling 3 AU → < 2.4 AU (end Jan 15) Goal of the meeting
