2 Reduced Stress Levels  Taking part in physical activity can help with stress as it provides an outlet for frustration and tension  This release of stress is often called “Catharsis” or “cleansing of the soul”  Examples of this might include taking part in rigorous exercise like hitting a punch bag to get rid of aggression

3 Increased Self-esteem  Extensive periods of training will have certain physical effects on the body  These effects might include positive adaptations such as loss of body fat or improved muscle tone  This can have a positive effect on how you perceive yourself and your image
