Reduced Stress Levels Taking part in physical activity can help with stress as it provides an outlet for frustration and tension This release of stress is often called “Catharsis” or “cleansing of the soul” Examples of this might include taking part in rigorous exercise like hitting a punch bag to get rid of aggression

Increased Self-esteem Extensive periods of training will have certain physical effects on the body These effects might include positive adaptations such as loss of body fat or improved muscle tone This can have a positive effect on how you perceive yourself and your image
