2 2 Description Objectives Outcomes and Contents Metalworking course is conducted in two semesters (5th and 6th semesters). The metalworking courses are taught to the students who has previously succeeded material science and vocational machine drafting courses.

3 3 Description Objectives Outcomes and Contents - Iron and non ferrous materials - Tool sets for the measurement and marking processes, - Specifications of the tool sets for metal working - Drilling, filing, bending and clamping - Metal shaping, riveting, milling and turning Course Description Metalworking I

4 4 Description Objectives Outcomes and Contents - Importance of bonding and classification of the welding techniques - Preparation of materials for welding - Hard and mild soldering - Oxygen-acetylene welding and equipments - Arc welding and equipments - Gas welding - Project applications Description Metalworking II

5 5 Description Objectives Outcomes and Contents - Give specific information about metal material science - Teach methods for shaping metals - Give practical information about tool sets and process machinery - Practicing on hand shaping tools ve basic applications Objectives Metalworking I

7 7 Description Objectives Outcomes and Contents After successing the course, the students can; - Understand the importance of metal materials in the industry together with the physical and technological features - Get used to working in the frame of safety working regulations and comprehend its importance, -Define and know the mechanical and chemical compositions of the composite materials - Use the related hand tools and machinery effectively for shaping the materials. 14 13 Description Objectives Outcomes and Contents Evaluation Metalworking I Mid-term exam: 30 % of the average grade Projects: 10 % of the average grade Final exam: 60 % of the average grade (an exam regarding the application competencies of the students is done before the final exam and the results are reflected to the final exam grades)
