Gathering data on users –They were from a variety of groups at IBM. They were between age of 20 -30 years old. –Their chat logs were generated by the IBM Sametime 7.5 IM application –They volunteered to share their chat data.

IM behavior between users can be used to form high performance teams. Study between IM, phone, and email usage of a user together can be used to plan IT cost planning.
