Summary Belgium has significantly higher number of teens among the age group of 14-18 (88%). It is followed by Denmark and Greece. Children in Denmark are the most active users of social networking sites with the aggregate of 88% who post photos of themselves or their friends as well as personal information on the internet. Followed by Netherlands with a total of 86% users. Users mostly allow only friends & family to have access to one’s social networking page indicating the user’s concern for safety. Very few people allow all internet users to have access. Most parents in Denmark (78%) & Netherlands (75%) do nothing to control internet usage at home. 40% of parents in Finland know a great deal about the internet which is significantly higher than the rest of the market. 59% of parents are confident that their children are maintaining the safety precautions while sharing information on the internet in the entire Pan-European region.

Restricted & Confidential Safety of information Nearly half of the users find it safe to share personal information or a photo, on blog or social networking site. Irish feel significantly safe (57%) than the rest of the countries. The Swiss and Greeks feel the most unsafe (31% each) while sharing personal information on the internet. 1 1 2 2 3 3 Q. British, Finnish & Irish parents know more compared to other s. 28% of Parents in Greece know a great deal about the internet which is significantly higher than the other markets 18% of parents in Spain don’t know anything about the internet.
