12 Key Accomplishment Practice Key congressional leaders urged FTC to review existing and proposed state regulations concerning APRNs to identify those that have anticompetitive effects FTC has made scope-of- practice issues a priority and is reaching out to states on this issue and evaluating state laws and regulations 12

13 Key Accomplishment Interprofessional collaboration RWJF hosted 3 RN/MD Consensus Roundtables to engage nursing and physician organization leaders in dialogue Group to release consensus paper between nurses and doctors 13

14 Key Accomplishment Leadership The Leapfrog Group reported hospital’s Magnet status as an indicator of adequate and competent nursing staff service and nursing leadership at all levels on its public 2011 Hospital Survey 14

15 Key Accomplishment Data NCSBN and Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers agreed to jointly collect and analyze nursing workforce supply data from states in 2012 Organizations will use Forum’s national Minimum Nurse Supply Dataset Report to be published in 2013 15

16 AAN Strategic Plan accelerate adoption of recs enable nursing community and other stakeholders to speak with one voice Incorporating IOM recs into strategic plan 16
