Wake Med Condense down to 3 teams,Team B will collapse Q3 call (on-call, post-call, pre-call) –On-call day admit to 600pm –3 new patients, 1 ICU transfer, and up to 2 consults –No short call Team cap of 14; attending will follow overflow 1 night resident –Still admits 4 patients –2 to on-call –1 to post-call –1 to pre-call

MICU Condense to 3 teams redistribute collapsed team Q3 overnight call Otherwise no changes

MED CD and CHF NO CHANGE

UNC WARDS 1 resident and 1 intern Q2 team call until 7:00pm Every day treated like a weekday no overnight call for interns on Friday and Saturday night

UNC WARDS Up to 2 on-call floats Up to 5 new patient admissions –time cap remains 11pm –No post-call admissions –Can get post-call floats that were admitted from 7- 11pm the night before Interns expected to keep taking new patients until their personal census is at 10; residents follow remainder of patients by his/herself. Team cap remains at 20

Night Float Residents 4 upper level night floats every night Evening Float –New Hours –3-12 pm Responsible for –Admissions –cross-cover after 7:00pm.

Same Day Clinic Resident/Intern All will serve as alternates The upper level resident carries the firm pager.
