21. AFTER MAY 9, 2007 GP in charge of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up Important ! spirometry does NOT detect lung cancer and other smoking related diseases Important ! Normal spirometry does not mean that you don’t have asthma. Smokers must QUIT smoking, even if they have no clear airflow obstruction !!!!!
