Structural Redesign Design Changed from cube to rectangular Shape redesigned around camera Cut out for mirrors Better imaging of earth and balloon Protects mirrors Better positioning of camera Allows for more imaging options Improved impact absorption and structural strength
3
Parts and Components Status Have all major components Having to spend more on miscellaneous parts O 3 Sensor Three out of four chemicals here fourth one on its way Chemicals took longer to get. This experiment will be practically impossible to test. Force sensor Accelerometer not feasible Will probably use home made device
4
Stair Pitch Test No critical damage done Performed several tests: Pitched downward from 1 story Pitched up to a height of 3 stories and freefall New Design showed improved impact absorption Major damage was to corners Overall structurally sound
5
