In the field, students apply their classroom knowledge to real-world settings, such as child and family service agencies, government offices, hospitals, public schools, and community mental health centers, and grass roots non-profit organizations There are approximately 475 agencies (southeastern Michigan, nationally, and globally) and placements are available in urban and some rural areas There are several Schools of Social Work in the SE Michigan area so placements are very competitive.
