4 FLAP Awards Must demonstrate purpose, academic coherence and market demand Meetings take place on scheduled dates every month should there be business to transact. Any modules not in approval need to be approved through the relevant Faculty Quality Committee prior to FLAP All proposals should be considered by FMT(s) prior to FLAP

7 Current “tweaks” to full validations No requirement to nominate single Course Developer within each Faculty Faculty Enhanced (FEV) events retained University events no longer two stage process A one stage event preceded by some form of Faculty scrutiny to ensure proposal & documentation fit for purpose New modules pre-validated by Faculty and approved at validation. Existing modules not scrutinised

8 Negotiated Frameworks WBL Awards Individuals Negotiate package of study Package of study is negotiated for cohort ‘Academic’ Awards Individuals negotiate own package of study in a specific subject area

9 Negotiated Awards Awards can include three types of modules: Core, must include: – Flexible learning – Researching methods – Final Project/ Dissertation Option ( “off the shelf”) – not required Negotiated (at least 25%)
