First-Year Experience FYE Subcommittee Explore ways to enhance the holistic first-year experience, connecting existing programs and strengthening the interaction between Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. Through campus dialogue, identify priorities for short-term enhancements and some longer-term suggestions for new and expanded program.

Enrollment Planning EP Steering Committee Launched in Spring 2001 Partnership between Student Affairs and Academic Affairs Design strategies to achieve enrollment targets, discover ways to improve recruitment, identify other sources of revenue, and further diversity enrollment

EPSC Activities Spring 2002 Working groups report completed 130 activities identified Five areas emphasized: Faculty Involvement and Development, Academic Programming and Advising, Outreach/Message, Cultural/Climate Changes, and New Resource Needs. Two new committees formed: Improving Campus Transition and Developing January Admission Opportunities for First-Year Students

By June 2002 the Coordinating Council will: Complete a vision statement for the first-year experience Receive benchmarking documents from all departments/programs Compile a progress report 2000-02 Advance initiatives from Student Ambassadors Formulate action steps for 2002-03 Assist with development of First in 2009 informational brochure for alumni and a vision website
