3 Prospective Student Tours and Information Sessions Late September through December, February through May Mondays, Wednesdays* and Fridays* *Includes residence halls 9:00am to 11:30am 1,920 prospective students and parents visited MCC 2005-2006

4 Accuplacer Testing On-site at High Schools Provide your own students a convenient and familiar test site Placement testing is typically the main obstacle in making an applicant eligible for admission College Board guidelines to follow to provide ideal testing environment Initial pilot schools interested include; Eastridge, Rush- Henrietta, Webster Schroeder and Thomas Contact: David Diana, Asst. 5 Cinema and Screen Studies A.S. New for Fall 2007 Curriculum covers motion picture and television history, culture, theory and production Can continue their studies at baccalaureate film or mass media programs SUNY University at Buffalo and SUNY Oswego

8 New Construction Update Wolk Center – Building 9 – –Anticipated construction begins July 2007 – –Completion scheduled for Fall 2008 PAC Center (field house) – –Anticipated construction beginning late summer 2007 – –Completion scheduled for Fall 2008 DCC Renaissance Square – –Demolition of current site during late Fall 2007 – –Completion anticipated for 2011

9 Financial Aid ACG grants – –Students who are “Pell eligible” and complete and ‘”academic rigorous” high school curriculum – –Remind students to check FAFSA Attorney General Investigation – –Advise families to use caution in accepting deals with Direct marketers. Loan Limits increased

10 Applications for Fall 2007 by High School Can provide each high school with a report. - Includes name, decision (accepted, pending, declined) and program Most High School pended applicants have been deferred for placement testing. Compare total with number of students that applied from your high school last year.
