2. 2 The Companies Swarco: A medium size engineering firm with approximately 5 developers with computer programming background. KISO: A small company with only one developer with only a weak background in computer programming. RM teknik: A small IT consulting firm with background in data acquisition and process control.

3. 3 Swarco It begins with a meeting at AAU in the late 2005. Preliminary plan for the cooperation. The objectives for the learning. 4. 4 Swarco Experience. A lot of work from my side. The engineers at Swarco learned a lot and all the objectives was fulfilled. It was easy to design the lectures and the homepages because Swarco knew exactly what they wanted.

5. 5 KISO It begins in spring 2006 with a visit to KISO. Preliminary plan for the cooperation. Objectives for the learning. The knowledge that is necessary to solve a specific problem in their production. (Make a computer program with user interface and data acquisition.) Online learning homepage. C# (sharp) programmingC# (sharp) programming Build a prototype of the computer program. This prototype defines the structure of the program and all the necessary programming techniques. I Visit KISO and talk with the person who should implement the computer program. Here I give an introduction to C# (The programming language) and describe the prototype. A lot of telephone talk and mailing.

6. 6 KISO Experience. A lot of work from my side. He did not learn the necessary skills to fulfill the objectives. It was easy to design the prototype and the homepages because of my visit to KISO, I therefore understood the problem that they wanted solve. It was very difficult to teach a person that did not have the basic knowledge's about the subject. I began on a too high level.

7. 7 RM-teknik It began in the summer 2006 with a telephone talk with Rene Sørensen (RM-Teknik). We discussed the objectives. It was difficult to specify the needs. The costumers ask him for.NET so he wanted to know something about.NET Online learning homepage. Intro. To.NETIntro. To.NET One single telephone call. He was told to be more specific about the his needs.

8. 8 RM-teknik Experience. You have to be specific about the needs. It would properly have been better with a visit to RM-teknik in the first place.

9. 9 Conclusion Begin with a face to face meeting. Be precise when specifying the objectives. If the company only have a little knowledge about the subjects then the expectations from both the company and the teacher should be very small. The combination of online material and face to face lectures gives a flexible and efficient learning.
