6/12/2015 16 University of Utah Health Sciences Center Institutional Grants and Program Reviews THE OLD WAY: u E-mail faculty a description of info being requested, format needed and a due date u Having heard from only one faculty member, send reminder with deadline u Having heard from two more faculty, send another e-mail begging for information u In the meantime, try to resolve inconsistencies between three responses you’ve received u Try face-to-face pleading which gets you two more responses u Spend hours trying to resolve inconsistencies THE BETTER WAY: u E-mail faculty about info that will be pulled from the system and the date it will be pulled, and requested update date u Work with a few faculty that have questions about updates u Run report in consistent format
