Year-End Financial Reporting Workshop2 Current Year Events  The CSU worked with the SCO to identify SAM99 problems; programming/technical errors have been fixed.  The SCO granted one-time exemption for programming errors in the 2003/04 reports.  More Certificates of Excellence received from the SCO for 2003/04.  Prior year accrual file and hard copy accrual report available from the SCO

May 23, 2005Year-End Financial Reporting Workshop3 Reminders for SAM99  Include “SAM99 Submission for Agency XXXX” on the subject line in the e-mail notice to the SCO (see Section 6, page 30 of the manual).  If you find accounting errors after submitting SAM99 electronic file, do not resubmit the file unless instructed by the SCO. Coordinate with Sandi Rowland at the SCO first.

May 23, 2005Year-End Financial Reporting Workshop4 Reminders for Hardcopy Reports  Each individual campus needs to submit the following hardcopy reports directly to the SCO (see Attachments IIIA): –Fund 0890 Federal Trust (7, 8, 9, 20) –Fund 0942 Special Deposit (7, 8, 9, 20) –Fund 0996 GLTDAG (7) –Fund 0997 GFACG (18, 19) –Report 14-Report of Bank Accounts outside the Treasury  Do not use dollar signs in paper reports.  In Fund 0942, use state GL account 1140 (Cash in State Treasury), not 5570 (Fund Balance Clearing).
