4 Student’s t Test Normal distribution applies if  2 known When  2 unknown, can estimate by s 2 Bad news: (xbar-  )/(s/  n) not ~ N(0,1) Good news: (xbar-  )/(s/  n) ~ t(n-1) –(n-1) is called the “degrees of freedom
