6 6 Borders Found on formatting toolbar Very helpful in identifying different sections of spreadsheets Combine with cell color (paint bucket icon) to help visibility of data

7 7 Formulas Sum  Basic math functions  Click on Function  Sum  Highlight cells  Enter  Can use other simple math functions in parentheses - (minus) * (multiply) / (divide)

10 10 Percentages Common function for final grades or giving students averages for sections of course (e.g., Quiz average, Test average)  Use SUM function to total all received points  In the formula bar, divide (using / ) the sum by the total number of points possible Example (two ways to do it)  =SUM(C6:F6)/200  =SUM(G6)/200 (better method)  Convert that result into %  Reduce decimals is you wish
