Definition of a Conjunction A conjunction is a word that joins words or word groups.

Looking into Conjunctions… A Coordinating Conjunction joins words or word groups that are used in the same way. A Coordinating Conjunction joins words or word groups that are used in the same way. Ex: and, but, or, nor, for, yet, so. Ex: and, but, or, nor, for, yet, so. A Correlative Conjunctions are pairs of conjunctions that join words or word groups that are used in the same way. A Correlative Conjunctions are pairs of conjunctions that join words or word groups that are used in the same way. Ex: both…and, not only…but also, either…or, neither…nor Ex: both…and, not only…but also, either…or, neither…nor
