The Chance at Childhood Program includes three components: 1.The Child & Family Advocacy Certificate Program 2.Continuing Education programming in the legal and social work professional communities & layperson community outreach 3.Law & Social Work Clinic Our mission: “To promote and protect the well being of children and families through integrated education and advocacy”

Apply to the Child & Family Advocacy Certificate Program Program is comprised of three components: 1.Core Curriculum: a)Integrated Law & SW Seminar in Child Welfare b)Child Welfare/Abuse & Neglect Course in Social Work 2.Elective Course a)Family Law elective from Law College (several to choose) 3.Law & Social Work Clinic Externship

Broad definition of child welfare-Clinic handles a variety of legal matters involving children Law & social work graduate students paired together to complete work Law students complete one semester of externship- 12 hours per week
