Pilot Project Status - Course Test environment has the ability to accept flat files and XML. Web Application is available in test to pilot campuses Web Services are available in test to pilot campuses Pilot Campuses will send test files during January and February 2007.

Pilot Project Status - Course Banner beta release for the Data Transfer System is available now on the SICAS FTP Site. Banner Patch will be sent in January to allow campuses to transmit data Several pilot campuses have already sent test course submissions.

Pilot Project Status - Term Term/Section Submission Elements are available on the web Elements are locked for the pilot Data Transfer System will be able to accept Term/Section submissions June 2007 It is important to have the local student id match on the SDF and term/section submission

Pilot Project Status - Student Student Repository Database to hold Student information has been designed Data from data warehouse will be used for initial load Campuses may be asked to assist with data cleanup Key data elements will be available to campuses including the new SUNY ID XML format or flat file

Web Service Security Authentication is the process of verifying a person's identity Authorization is the process of verifying that a known person has the authority to perform a certain operation Encryption - is the process of obscuring information to make it unreadable without special knowledge

Web Service Security Connections to the web service must use HTTPS XML-Signature is used to identify the campus and department sending the SOAP message. The certificate used for signing is itself signed by a certificate authority run at System Administration. Certificates for each campus can be downloaded from a HTTPS secured web page located at https://www.suny.edu/ca/. https://www.suny.edu/ca/
