Promotes the library as an integral part of engineering education. 3. What is ASEE? The American Society for Engineering Education is a nonprofit member association, founded in 1893, dedicated to promoting and improving engineering and technology education. Is there something in the culture of engineering that induces or inhibits participation in changing modes of scholarly communication? Are there any online engineering repositories currently?

10. Scholarly Communication Questions, continued: What benefit would engineers derive from an online repository? What changes other than online repositories might benefit engineering scholars? As engineering librarians, what are our concerns/perspectives relative to engineering scholarly communication? As engineering librarians, what is our role in facilitating changes? How can IATUL members bring insight to this group?

11. Other ELD activities JSTOR Task Force Investigating adding more engineering journals Mentoring Task Force Facilitate mentoring activities among ELD members. One of the goals is to create a database of information experts. Accreditation and Standards Committee Information Literacy guidelines and standards for engineering
