Why the Dutch government is funding educational innovation? By 2017 a lot of our colleagues will be retired

Students for Students is one of these innovations. Older students teach younger students in their own way which is recorded on video Every participating school makes 30 videos about 2 subjects Teachers will check the contents for errors and didactic aspects A special portal is created to host the videos and streamline the review process

Our goals: Take away pressure from the teachers who have to repeat lessons over and over again. The videos take over part of the instruction: teachers need less instruction time and can spend this time tutoring individual students. See if students get better results when they learn from peers through video lessons. Research in cooperation with the University of Rotterdam about using video in learning
