4 Strengths : Flashlight is an essential accessory in every household nowadays. Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology is a new generation light source to replace traditional bulb for Flashlight application. LED has long life time with 100, 000 hours and high- brightness, LED flashlight has features as integrated circuit control to decrease power consumption. LED Flashlight with design patented. Save bulb and battery replacement.

5 Weaknesses : LED Flashlight with high price due to the cost of U.S. patented LED in current market. The brightness of LED is still in limitation area, it can’t far over 100 meters. Traditional Flashlight with high candela bulb is still exist in Flashlight market.

6 Opportunities : To penetrate this market, need to find the specific lighting application, for example, fishing store, tooling store, mountain store, bike store, police and guard purpose…etc. For professional application, flashlight with small, weatherproof, and aseismatic design. Universal design and reasonable price of flashlight can expand consumer markets rapidly. Now, most of people have security concern due to the unexpected disasters, thus, flashlight will become a normal product and easy to acquire.

7 Threats : The cost of producing consumer products tends to have fallen because of lower manufacturing costs. China manufacturers lead to price competition. Intense price competition is a threat. Flashlight market was found from U.S., they have lots design experience in flashlight. We have to come out new idea in flashlight design due to the rapid technological development otherwise the competitors of China will catch up soon. Being a popular consumer product means that it will come out lots of imitation by competitors in a short time.

8 Conclusion LED Flashlight is a new consumer product, various outer design for different user, for example, tactic flashlight is for police and guard purpose. Small and light is for mountain climber. There are many kinds of flashlights, choose the suitable one for your usage.
